I wonder if I’d feel differently if I didn’t know it was supposed to be television before hand. It just feels so disjointed.
Last year was a great run for me. I think Babs was the only one I didn’t follow along with. I got on the blank check bandwagon late and have been slowly catching up on the early series. Last year I did the m nights, and I’m rolling into late Spielberg now.
I didn’t start listening until 2020 I think, I haven’t been intentionally going back to directors in order but there’s been plenty of one offs I’ll decide to watch then go back and listen to the episodes
I got into it in 2016 during the wachowski run. Became a fan for life after their amazing Speed Racer episode (a movie, which at the time I felt like I was alone on loving in 2008) Easily my favorite podcast
i didn't love all of the lynch movies and Mulholland wasn't my number one (blue velvet and the straight story were above it for me) but I thought it was incredible josh might like the straight story since he loves to mow his lawn
I listened to a bunch of random episodes last year of directors I like/movies I’ve seen and did almost all of lynch besides twin peaks and inland empire but I’ll probably do all the Spielberg movies.
Fosse was one of my favorite series even though All That Jazz was the only I loved, I just had zero knowledge of him before that. It was fun.
well yeah they’ll probably do one or two miniseries between the end of spielberg and the beginning of whoever wins the bracket i’d imagine
Kinda fell off after Fincher series, which was great. Been slowly catching up, but still have a few movies I need to watch. Really excited for the Indiana Jones episodes.
I might take a break for a few episodes. The length and Griffin’s rambling sometimes is just start to annoy me.
