Yeah I love lynch and give me an excuse to chase down the two movies I haven’t seen. Also I still need to catch season 3.
i’m interested in a few of his movies but such a disappointing outcome with linklater and spike coming so close
“Thomas Crown Affair” is a unexpectedly kind of weird movie. Also, I go back and forth with Amanda Dobbins. There’s parts of this ep where’s she really and others where I just want to be like “Please don’t yell into the mic.” I guess this also applies to like 75% of The Ringer staff.

I've seen Millennium Actress, but it was a really long time ago and I'll definitely be revisiting along with watching the rest for the first time.
Ayo guesting on the Paprika episode or just staying caught up? https://www.instagram.com/stories/ayoedebiri/3355785404273135137?igsh=MWZrcmNtYXUxMXNl
I'm listening to the Medicine Man episode and David makes the comment "I understand most of our listeners are not going to watch this movie" Do people actually do that? Listen to the show without watching the movie? I don't see how that would be enjoyable. On the other hand, trying to watch all the movies is the reason I can't keep up with this show
I have a friend who doesn't watch every movie, but listens to every episode. I can't do it, so there will be whole miniseries that I skip. But I love when my girlfriend randomly picks a movie that they've covered and I then get to go back and listen to the episode.
I have zero interest in listening to a blank check episode on a movie I haven’t seen. In the past I have listened without watching for a show like we hate movies because they basically go through the plot linearly, but I don’t know that I would do that today. I feel like Griff and David jump around too much to listen for something I haven’t seen. Also making myself watch the whole series is to me the whole fun of it, and why I’ll more or less nope out of a series completely if I have too much difficulty finding the majority of the movies.
Going through the back catalog, I'm only watching movies I'm interested in but still listening to every episode. I think they do a fairly good job making most episodes interesting even if it's a movie I haven't seen. For new episodes, I'll at least try to watch pretty much everything I haven't seen before. DNF'd Medicine Man and didn't even try Rollerball though, and I have no interest in TMNT movies, but I'm still listening to every episode of those series. For new theatrical releases, I'll save the episode until I actually see the movie (same thing I do with The Big Picture).
I’m a casual listener and will just randomly go back and download episodes with movies I enjoy. Can’t imagine listening to an episode about a movie I haven’t watched.
If I’m invested in the director they’re talking about, I’ll listen to eps of movies I haven’t seen. I really enjoyed the McTiernan series, but there’s no way I’m throwing on “Medicine Man” or “Rollerball.” I’ll get the jist from the conversation.
It's been a long time since I've seen Requiem For A Dream and it's not exactly something I want to go back to. What did it take from Perfect Blue?
I rewatched the Last Drive-in episode for Perfect Blue and Joe Bob also made the connection to Selena. It's crazy how much it fits
