Starting Army of Darkness now. Didn’t enjoy Evil Dead 2 as much as 1, and didn’t enjoy Darkman much at all.

 

Hell yeah Eva Anderson. Doesn’t get enough respect as one of the best guests in all of podcasting.

 

I did enjoy them gushing about what big fans of hers they are at the beginning.

 

The ending was very sweet too.

And it’s good to hear that Bruce Campbell seems like a genuinely nice person.

 

Have they said what the plan is for Ash vs Evil Dead? I know Griffin mentioned watching it all. It might be at the end of this weeks ep, since I haven't finished it yet.

I'm watching it now and really enjoying it.

 

I believe they have said that they aren’t going to be covering it, Griff is just watching it because he is a madman that has to watch everything.

This is only my second time doing it but I did a lot better this time - got them all with only the tagline (plus an actor for one)

Last attempt I drew a blank on three of the movies. Makes a big difference when it's a year you were conscious of movies

I was dreading Kevin Smith being on here. But as usual, he’s a fascinating personality and just a terrible, terrible filmmaker.

 

Yeah I was highly skeptical but really enjoying the episode (once I got over the Nancy Meyers slander)

 

Ok I finished the episode and Kevin Smith is genuinely a top tier guest. Color me shocked.

 

Totally! I feel like the show benefitted from him not knowing the concept. He didn’t seem to have any of prepared talking points that he usually goes through and you could sense him getting won over as the episode went on. Really good stuff.

 

All the stories about Jim Jacks were so great

I just watched A Simple Plan (it was ok!) and so I will now listen to the Kevin Smith episode.

The Quick & The Dead is my favorite Raimi so far
