I've really enjoyed watching all his movies but haven't really found any of them all that scary (even the Thing is more gross than scary), so I'm excited to check that out this weekend.
I mostly agree with this statement, but I saw The Thing way too young and when the chest opens up and bites the guys hands off I thought it was the scariest thing that could ever happen.
Tangible stuff like slashers or aliens don’t really get me scared at all but stuff like in Prince of Darkness is what does it every time lol
Gonna be honest, I was not scared by it, lol. I found it quite boring tbh and I’m not sure what I’m missing.
I'm listening to the Starman episode and they're making fun of this Hank the Cowdog podcast. I fucking loved those books when I was a kid, I'm gonna check this out haha
This week’s movie is really testing my “watch every movie before listening” patience, Jesus Christ, what trash.
The only thing I know about "Memoirs of an Invisible Man" is its hilariously awful cover that I'd see in video stores in the '90s. But I appreciate any pod that devotes a good chunk of time to dunking on Chevy Chase. And they're totally right, stumbling on "Wayne's World" being the rare '90s movies that's almost totally unproblematic.
Can't wait to hear the reaction for In the Mouth of Madness, watched it for the first time last year and really liked it. Also, not going to lie I love John Carpenter's Vampires, that was extremely my shit as a 12 year old and have probably seen it a dozen times, excited to hear them shit all over it.
