I think moving it to a more secure platform will eliminate the toxicity. Some people buying Twitter bots and others recruiting scores of people who don’t care about the podcast or the movies at all to brigade the poll won’t be possible/as easy when it isn’t on Twitter anymore.

 

I'm cool with them just taking MM off next year and doing a full year with a planned schedule.

 

I would be bummed if they cancelled MM next year and let the few people trying to ruin the fun win.

Looking through his filmography, I’ve only seen two Carpenter movies. So excited for this.

Also, since it's finally May season, I watched A New Leaf the other night and loved it. That movie was extremely ahead of its time in terms of its humor sensibilities. Like almost that exact same script could've been made as an indie comedy today and it would not have been out of place.

If they start Carpenter on Sunday, August 1, they'll finish on Sunday, November 28. Just in time for the Winter of Fincher.

 

Some people saying on discord to do a shorter, bolder series after Carpenter (Keaton or WKW, maybe) then do Fincher. It would still work!

 

I actually either didn't know there was a Discord or forgot there was one, I joined it.

 

Highly recommend the discord if you are a fan of the show. It's honestly a great community
