Never saw Pirates 4 but Pirates 5 is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen

the first one is the only good one

 

I was surprisingly underwhelmed rewatching the original recently. Meanwhile parts of three really worked for me. That journey of the dead sequence is beautiful and very sad.

 

They’re all interminably long and Johnny Depp fell up his own ass after the first one. I’ll fully admit it’s not for me, but understand why it works for other people.

 

Pirates 3 slaps but also I haven’t seen it since I was 14 and I’m sure there’s absolutely no correlation

 

Honestly, I like a lot of Gore & Cuaron's films lol and they honestly would make both make good minis since I have faith in the show to figure it out.

But.... Carpenter would just be too good

Yeah he definitely is. I’m just hoping that reason prevails and Carpenter manages to beat him.

 

I would be a giant baby and not listen until the miniseries is over if Gore wins. Truly hope reason prevails in this.

 

I mean I’ll listen to the Gore series and absolutely enjoy it but this sucks.

 

My only saving grace is that Carpenter has had a relatively easy path. There’s been no need to have a big mouthpiece rally votes in his favor so we don’t know who may be lurking in the shadows for him when things get tough

 

Yeah I take it back, I don’t think all the guest losers are going to join up with Karen, and Yoshida is definitely team WKW. Carpenter/Altman vs WKW would be a dream final, any winner I’d love.

 

Also almost 7k votes for this matchup in two hours.

 

I feel like if Altman manages to beat Carpenter, then Gore is going to win it all. I think Carpenter is the only one that can beat Gore at this point.

 

I just can't imagine why there are so many people that want to watch/re-watch/think about The Lone Ranger ever again considering what we now know about Armie Hammer. Let alone Depp too.

 

I don’t think he will, and I’m fine with that. Going this far AND competing with Carpenter more than shows the interest in a miniseries on him.

 

Unfortunately the same can be said about Gore now lol

Karen’s completely unwillingness to acknowledge the Depp/Hammer stuff whatsoever so she can win is disappointing.

 

Yeah like her whole "we're voting for movies, not people" line is pretty lame considering, like, you can't really do an in-depth podcast about films without talking about the people in them. Like I don't want to have a mini-series where Griff and David have to constantly be acknowledging the shitty things Depp and Hammer have done in like half the episodes. It's just going to be a bummer to listen to.

 

Not “like” half the episodes, either. Legitimately HALF the episodes.

 

Right cuz he did five with Depp, one of which also with Hammer. That's half yeah.

It's like, you can't say "You're not voting for a Hammer and Depp series, you're voting for a GORE SERIES" when half the movies have Depp in them lol. Like if it was just one movie with both of them in it then yeah I'd agree with her, but a vote for Gore is clearly also a vote for Depp at least.

 

The Lone Ranger isn't even streaming on Disney+ currently! If Disney is like "yeah we probably shouldn't be acknowledging this thing anymore" that says quite a lot lol
