This was tougher than I thought it'd be haha

 

I Really Wish I Hated You (This was pretty easy for me - Happy Days is one of my least favorites on the album and I Really Wish I Hated You is something like my fifth or sixth favorite)

Remember To Forget Me (Another easy one for me - I'm not as high on Remember To Forget Me as a lot of other people seem to be, but Ransom is another one of my least favorites on the album)

No Heart To Speak Of (This wasn't quite as easy as the first two matchups, but it wasn't too bad. No Heart To Speak Of is one of my two favorites on the album and I'd be fine with it winning this album bracket. On Some Emo Shit is good though - other than the song title)

Darkside (I hadn't heard Out Of My Head until this morning...it's fine, but I'm ok with it not being on the regular version of the album. Darkside is still one of my favorite songs on the album - it's also my favorite of the pre-release singles)

Run Away (This was a pretty close one for me - both of these songs are midtier Nine songs for me. I'll give the edge to Run Away, because I think it's a little more catchy and I think that Black Rain feels more like an Alkaline Trio song)

Pin The Grenade (This was the most painful matchup for me this round - both of these are among my favorites on the album, but Pin The Grenade is one of my two favorites on the album, along with No Heart To Speak Of)

Hungover You (Easy choice - the chorus is massive and one of the album's highlights for me, while Blame It On My Youth is one of my least favorites on Nine)

Heaven (Another easy pick - Generational Divide doesn't do anything for me and I think it's kind of a throwaway track)

I’m rooting for Remember To Forget me this round. It’s one of my 3 favorites off the album and it’s an exceptional closer. I like Ransom well enough but RTFM is just great, and that moment when the full band kicks in during the second chorus gives me chills

 

How the hell is Remember to Forget Me losing to Ransom?!

This is my first time participating in one of these brackets, so I’m not too familiar with how the matchups are determined, but I find it odd that for the last few albums there’s been matchups between some of the more obviously popular songs on the album, making it easier for the less popular songs to make it further than they deserve. @BTDandFeelingThis mind explaining again, if you have already?

 

The songs are plugged into a bracket generator and it randomly matches them up and determines byes and whatnot. So any matchups are completely random.

also keep in mind what you determine as a song ‘not deserving’ to advance could be someone else’s favorite. That’s a very subjective line :)
