Cynical

 

It's weird to me that people love Cynical so much but The Only Thing That Matters didn't get further. Both are classic blink songs, but at least the latter is longer so you get to enjoy it longer

For the record, both are in my top 3 on that album but LA is #1

 

The Only Thing That Matters seems likes a pure filler song on California along with KOTW and Teenage Satellites.

My main issue with the album is it just feels long even though it’s only 43 minutes, which is the same length as NINE, because the 2nd half just drags. I think it would be better if they cut out the joke songs, KOTW, Teenage Satellites and California. The album would be 10 tracks and ends on a high note with San Diego. But that’s just me as I know a lot of people like The Only Thing That Matters, I just could never get into it.

 

Cynical certainly isn't my favorite song on the album (Los Angeles, the only thing that matters, and San Diego would all probably rank above it), but Bored to Death... (wait for it) bores me to death. Just doesn't do much interesting for me

 

California as whole isn't a very good album imo. It has a few standout tracks but that's it.

I listened to Nine maybe 2-3 times and haven't picked it back up since . Just isn't for me, but I do like maybe 3 or 4 songs on it. I discovered Simple Creatures around the same time and just got obsessed with them instead heh.

 

No, keep California in there!

 

Ready for CA DLX. Interested to see the outcome. For me, I'd initially choose Misery, but I'll choose something else at this point. There's a few tracks from it that really stood the test of time for me.
