I Miss You is kind of a boring song, and one that has long grown stale for me. Asthenia is a better track.

Jesus that last matchup is bruuuuutal. Two of my favorites from the album facing off in the first round.

 

Asthenia - it’s so hard to be objective about miss you these days - kinda like ATST.

Feeling This - meh

Here’s Your Letter - bass tone

Violence - a top track on the record

Easy Target - I could really go either way on this but I always loved hearing how Travis recorded these drums one piece at a time on the bus while touring with transplants. The drums on the album are literally impossible to play note for note which makes it pretty unique.

Always - iconic and one of their best videos

Stockholm Syndrome - this should win. One of their all time best

 

Interesting, I wonder what makes it impossible to play live

 

I knew people loved Stockholm Syndrome but I'm surprised All of This isn't getting more love. God I love that song. I love SS too of course, but I figured the vote totals would be a lot closer.

 

Any song with Robert Smith should win

The drum rolling during the intro continues to go while the hi-hat/ snare beat comes in - that’s the biggest part I can’t think of that just can’t physically be done live in the way it’s played on the album.

 

I Miss You - This was the toughest decision for me, since Asthenia has some of my favorite vocal moments on any blink song ever. I Miss You is just undeniable.

Feeling This - Easy choice, although I have zero disdain for Fallen Interlude and actually quite enjoy it's placement on the album.

Here’s Your Letter - Classic.

Violence - Obsessed with this sound from blink. Wish we'd have gotten more stuff like this with the original line-up.

Easy Target - Shit, never mind, this might have been the toughest decision.

I’m Lost Without You - This was the slowest burn for me over the years, but I love this song. Although after hearing the vocal-only tracks from Always some years back, and hearing the ridiculous amount of Beach Boys on the backing harmonies, it's tough to vote against.

Stockholm Syndrome - Alright. These are all impossible to choose. Stockholm is my favorite blink song ever but of course it's pitted against All Of This. I love All Of This. Literally. The whole album. All of it.

 

Ngl I can’t stand I miss you at this point. At 12 I loved it, at 25 not so much

 

I feel like I've been on a roller coaster with my interest in I Miss You over the years. I borderline dislike ATST, WMAA, First Date, Rock Show, and pretty much all of the big singles because some part of me feels like they don't represent the correct version of the band I love. Yet, I appreciate I Miss You and the departure it was for them and the creativity it illustrates.
