I think this is the most surprised I’ve ever been at a final round in these brackets. I’m caught between being happy neither of them are singles and being bummed that I don’t feel very strongly about either of them, haha. Killing Time gets the vote
Boy I love Killing Time, but Boy is just a bit above it for me. I mentioned it previously, but the end of Boy may be my favorite part of Bayside’s discography. I’ll never get tired of that song. A big thank you to @333 GANG for running this! You did a really great job and it’s been really fun revisiting Bayside’s catalog this past month and discussing it with everyone!
Boy - 10 Killing Time - 11 Wow! We aren’t done just yet, few more votes still to come in, but what a way to wrap this whole thing up. I love it.
Thank you so much, and thanks again for catching some of my mistakes in the vote counts! I had a blast running this.
I’m glad people enjoyed it! I love this band, and it was a blast digging back into their entire catalogue with everyone.
Yeah this bracket was definitely one of my favorites and, I would argue, the best run one as well (which is definitely not a knock on all the other great people who run these). Also, I'm coming to the realization that almost all ofy favorite bands in this scene have had brackets already. Only a few that I can think of (Rise Against, Bad Religion, and a few others) with a large enough discography that I know well enough. It's a bit crazy to think about how many of these things have been done
Thank you! This was my first time doing one of these, but it was a lot of fun, and I’m very glad everyone had a great experience. I hope I didn’t annoy anyone with my incessant tagging haha
This was the first one I actively participated in and I had a great time. Shouts to @333 GANG for running such a tight ship. I've been a fan since 2004 when as a freshman in high school I walked into my local CD store and blindly bought Sirens and Condolences because it had a Victory Records sticker and I was already a huge TBS and Thursday fan. Crazy they are a band I've now seen 25+ times. NYC/Long Island living plus their insane touring schedule over the years made it very, very easy to do. I don't think their sound has really evolved much, if at all, but Bayside is always going to have a very big place in my heart, and this tournament was a great reminder of how much I enjoy their music. So many songs got re-stuck in my head in the course of voting.
