I refuse to believe anyone actually thinks Count the Score is a better song than Paternal Reversal.

Just teasing, but seriously, that song is bad lol

Plus paternal reversal is good

 

I actually really like Paternal! Nowhere near top tier Bayside for me, but I think it’s solid.

 

I think paternal could be a upper level mid tier song if it didn’t rely on a super standard song structure which makes it a little boring / predictable / safe or whatever. Melodies are catchy and lyrically it’s about as standard bayside as it gets. Doesn’t touch any of the great songs but I’d sub it out for quite a few meh album cuts throughout the discography

 

This could be our lives has a real cool 50s vibe but my vote is for INDIANA. Before today have only listened to each song once but Indiana hits more immediate than Lives
