I feel like it's been said before but it's wild that Marvel can announce films without screenwriters and directors

 

Not even that, this one was literally just “Mahershala Ali is gonna be Blade!!! No further questions!!!”

it’s almost a year and a half later and this is the first actual sign this is moving towards being a real thing?

 

Having Ali call you and show interest in a leading role is pretty much a wish come true for any franchise.
