I'm basing this solely on the last time he went back to the well of a sci-fi franchise he had a hand in. I'm not sure what the consensus here is on Prometheus and Covenant, but if Blade Runner 2099 will be of that quality, then I stand by my take on rather having Denis.

i trust the originator of the first movie, also those two alien movies are very good and i’d rather denis keep doing dune or whatever

I watched Blade Runner 2049 again this weekend on a red eye flight. No closed captioning and I've seen the film probably five or six times now, so I opted to just take it in as a silent film. Really focused on the minutiae of the performances - Ryan Gosling and Sylvia Hoeks especially are phenomenal in the film. The incredible lighting and shadows also go a long way to spicing up what could otherwise be less dynamic visuals for some scenes.

    Cannot wait for 2099.

It sucks the expanded soundtrack was taking off Spotify, it had certain tracks I loved that the OG soundtrack doesn’t have and I miss them

This is quite a nice one

"I added atmospheric effects to the visuals, such as rain, volumetric fog, light effects and a teal & orange cinematic color grade with some curve adjustments and a nice retro overlay. The clips are 15 minutes each and 11:15 min in total. Very watchable :) The ambience is non-repetitive and is 33 minutes long. There are always new things happening. Sometimes you will hear distant spaceships, people talking, traffic, constant rain and odd sounding sci fi textures. Since the visuals is changing, I made the ambience change overtime too. The music is a 22 minute track that is EXTREMELY soothing and atmospheric. Very moody indeed and fits the visuals rather well. It has a very dynamic depth and there are multiple layers of ever changing details. It's actually very generic in the sense that it works well for multiple activities, whether it be sleep, relax, work, focus, art, writing etc"

I definitely think he is, though I think he’s the same kind of Replicant that Rachel was, implanted memories and the ability to reproduce.
