    Maybe I'll finally get my friend to watch the original now that the Final Cut will be easily available, then I can show them 2049, which I own. I'm due for a rewatch of both movies anyways.

    I’m personally of the idea that the original is one of the best movies ever due to its important contextually within its time, but 2049 is a better actual movie

    The original is one of the all-time classic science fiction films, and 2049 is a worthy sequel that lives up to the original and is infinitely better than a decades-after-the-fact sequel would usually ever be.

    uh, yeah, I’m down with the clown Supporter

    I like the aesthetic & vibe of the original more, but personally view 2049 as the overall stronger start-to-finish film. Or, at least as the film that, as a whole, lands better for me. But, yeah, obviously the original is a classic, & both are fucking dope.

    People don’t give Ridley Scott enough credit for changing the look of sci-fi with Alien and Blade Runner. After those came out, sci-fi got a lot more gritty and grimy
