I watched this again today. It seems like I notice a new small detail every time I watch it. Truly one of the best films of this decade.

Watched this again last night for the 2nd time; I was able to pick up on deeper details this time, and now the film is sticking in my head more, making me curious to watch it for a 3rd time, haha.

I love how great movies can do that... they reward close re-watches because you find new details and nuances each time.

This definitely is a multiple viewings kind of film. The score alone.

It's the same sort of vibe and reaction I got from watching the newer Solaris, or Sunshine, or Syriana; usually films that aren't that popular, but are really well done and contain so many interesting things for your brain to dig into

I also rewatched it recently cuz I’m gonna cosplay K this year hopefully. I stand by that this is the best sci-fi film of the last 5 years.

I've seen it about three times, but I've been itching to watch it again.

Yeah I still really enjoy the latest Blade Runner. Not many brilliant films can follow up with an outstanding sequel let alone decades after the original.

Also echoing people in this thread the soundtrack was incredible and a great homage to the fantastic original score.

I saw it three times in theaters but have not rewatched it since - easily one of my favorite films of the past decade though.

I can't think of another in the last five years that tops it.

I’d put Ex Machina up there, too.
    maybe Annihilation.

Those were both excellent as well, certainly on my short list. I need to watch 'Annihilation' again as I've only seen it once. At this point I'm not sure either of them beat BR2049 for me though.

Annihilation still the best movie I’ve seen this year.

I quite enjoyed this; this kind of depth and layering and purpose that I absolutely love learning about in movies

Annihilation takes a good/above average book, removes some of my favourite and most striking parts and somehow makes it into a masterpiece.
