Wow I just looked up his nominations, didn't realize he did Kundun. For the record: The Shawshank Redemption Fargo Kundun O Brother, Where Art Thou? The Man Who Wasn't There No Country For Old Men The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford The Reader True Grit Skyfall Prisoners Unbroken Sicario Get this man an Oscar ffs
My roommate wants to get a 60+ inch 4k tv... I'm leaning towards buying it just for the rewatch of this movie haha.
It’s been said that this will be the only version because Dennis said this was the definitive version/vision.
I thought Black Out is the only really short in of the bunch, the others don’t really do it for me. While they’re all shorts to flesh out more of the exposition, I think Blackout has the most style and substance
Hell yeah. Speaking of cyberpunk, I’m excited that Cyberpunk 2077 has continued in its development. I cannot wait for that game
It’s my most anticipated game. I’m playing through Witcher 3 right now and it makes me excited to see what CD Projekt Red will do with some like cyberpunk.
I really enjoyed seeing this in theaters, and I remember feeling like it was mostly great, but when I look back on movies that came out in 2017 I tend to forget about this one. I need to watch it again and see how I feel.
Oh my god, rented this and just figured out how to play this over my speaker system from my Xbox...I’m loving the shit out of this night haha
Holy shit I forgot how incredible the Joi Love scene was Also, I don’t remember this movie having this much heart. There’s such an emotional center of the film that it gives this deeper resonance than it could have been.
Roger got his Oscar nod, has a solid chance too considering the other nominees. The rest of the Oscar nods are all production awards, which is what I expected. Btw, having like 10 Best Picture nominees is silly.
Watched this for the second time yesterday and enjoyed it even more than the first. When I first saw it I wasn't a big fan of how long some of the shots went on that I didn't find necessary, but on second viewing the only one I'd really shorten is K walking through the factory when he finds the horse
First thought I had when watching this scene "ok why is it taking him 8 minutes to unwrap the damn horse?"
The rest of awards have five nominees so that bugs me. That and I think the idea of having that many nominees for just one award is silly.
Have been backlogging Denis' films, watched Enemy and Prisoners this week. Loved them both, but Prisoners is having a longer lasting effect on me.
