I just read that the final performance/show raised $190 million for charity. Dude went out so high with love
Funnily enough I started watching The Osbournes last week because there are full episodes uploaded to youtube. Always think about “bubbles? I’m the prince of fucking darkness!”
I never saw Sabbath during any of the reunions that happened but I did see Ozzy once. Forgot what year Ozzfest it was now but he was closing the second stage that year and it was awesome. You needed a wristband for the pit during his set, people weren’t getting them thinking they were for drinks. So I got to be in the pit for Ozzy as he had the most fun closing the small pop-up stage in Tinley Park.
Whenever I think of The Osbournes, I think about Ozzy screaming from his balcony "I am log man" and chucking a log into a bonfire. Dude was living his best life.
Not sure how but they've been a blind spot for me all along, so I'm going to dive into their discography. I don't think I ever went that far in the past when it comes to metal. I do remember randomly catching their 2016 farewell set on TV a few years back and hearing some Heaven & Hell songs back when that album came out.
man this has been hitting me hard since seeing the news yesterday, gonna be spinning sabbath for the foreseeable future
on a huge ozzy interview tear rn and along with everything else thats been said i also gotta throw some acknowledgement towards his incredible sense of humor and effortlessly hilarious way of carrying himself
I’ve heard all the classics but never did a proper discog run. As a Ghost fan it was great listening to the first 2-3 albums, as you could definitely see where Ghost got the inspiration for their early stuff. Really enjoying Sabotage as well! Symptom of the Universe is a ripper.
man sabbath bloody sabbath t/t + a national acrobat is such a perfect goddamn opening duo. the way the latter track progresses from such an ominous crawl to such a fun and surprising outro will never not blow me away
