Think there's enough interest on here to make an album thread. 1.) Can’t Sleep 2.) The Midnight Sun 3.) Electric Fires 4.) Aether 5.) Across The Great Divide 6.) Home 7.) Eternal Light 8.) Slow Seas 9.) Fate I & II
Album’s gonna rule. Their debut was great, so glad Rise picked them up. Just wish this wasn’t still so far off!
Nice to see an album thread for this one! Along with Thrice one of my most anticipated records in the fall.
I really enjoyed this. Some parts remind me of Anberlin, Dredg, and Thrice. Will be jamming this a lot.
Middle of this record is fantastic. I'm liking the other stuff but Aether into ATGD into Home is great. Aether has to be one of the best songs they've written.
Such a great album. This band and Arcane Roots (RIP) are phenomenal British progressive bands that don’t get NEARLY enough attention in the States.
This album is virtuallly flawless imo. I had high expectations and I’m still blown away. @teebs41 you gotta check this man!
Seems Will's going through some health problems sadly. Recovering from sepsis(!). Band have cancelled most of their summer shows. Black Peaks have been forced to cancel some shows due to ill health
I think Black Peaks fans would love the band Sleep Token. Imo they share a similar boundary-pushing mentality, and their debut album "Sundowning" is one of my favorites of the year. Just made a thread if anyone wants to check it out: Sleep Token - Sundowning (November 21, 2019) • forum.chorus.fm
Randomly discovered this band through a photographer's Instagram. I'm loving what I'm hearing so far.
I half wondered if this might happen but man that is crap news. Statues is about as good a debut album from a rock band as you'll find in the last decade and it still felt like the best was yet to come. I saw them open for Deftones at Wembley Arena a couple of months after Statues came out and they looked like they were meant to be there - so impressive for a band on their first record.
Awful news but totally understandable. Wish they were doing some Goodbye dates to close things off with.
Statues was great, but All That Divides did nothing for me, and felt like to took the wind out of their sails a bit. I too saw them support Deftones at Wembley and it felt like they could be absolutely massive. Shame really
