Yep, although it’s far too early. I feel like the plan was to *eventually* let her be the new BP but with Chadwick’s death they just leaped forward a bit.

M’Baku should be the replacement. Who will be the tech person now??

I don't know if it's a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it is a little disheartening, especially from someone who is supposedly going to be picking up the torch from Boseman. You kind of don't want people becoming a figurehead for that kind of movement.

I would feel better about her denying it if she had other people backing her up.

 

I mean she just denies she was saying it on set, she doesn’t deny she believes it lol

 

I mean, to be frank, I don't really care what she believes in private. I care more about what she promotes in public.

Just scrap the movie and start over. Make M'Baku Black Panther.

 

Just recast T’Challa. We’ll get used to it as long as it’s a good pick

 

I've mentioned it tons of times on here how much I absolutely loved Chadwick, both as BP and just as a human being - but I believe that Marvel should recast the role.

I'll be 100% honest in saying I didn't love the first BP, but it was definitely great to see how excited people were for that film. It sucks that not only did the franchise have to handle the death of Chadwick, but now deal with Letitia being a dumbass.

I can certainly understand the intent wanting to honor Chadwick, but I just don't see how you could realistically, and naturally not include T'Challa in a sequel. At this point, I don't have any faith in Marvel not making it clunky and awkward.

 

I have faith in Ryan Coogler to make whatever they decided to do work and make sense. It just sucks shit they pinned the future of this series on goddamn Letitia Wright.

 

I also wouldn’t mind for Marvel to recast T’Challa since he’s such an important character, but they’ve been filming since June so I don’t see them scrapping the hundreds of millions they’ve already filmed.

 

the problem is they made so much pomp and circumstance after losing chadwick, and rightfully so, that recasting him would be foolish.

the obvious move, with the timeline of this movie’s release, is bringing back MBJ from the multiverse but he’s a good dude in that universe

 

I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s a good dude. He did murder Tony Stark and tried to take the stones for himself, but MBJ as the new Black Panther would be good if they found a way to make it work.

 

I don't think he means that particular MBJ, I think he just means one from another universe where he is actually a hero and not just in his own mind.

 

the multiverse isn’t just one other universe shown in an animated tv show.
