Just started. That Atlantean (or whatever the fuck they're called in this) attack on that deep sea rig in the beginning was sick as hell.

 

I thought this was one of the best MCU movies in years

 

Yeah, finished this the other night and I really enjoyed it. It definitely could have been trimmed down by 15-20 minutes but this easily jumps out as one of the better MCU movies in quite a while. I was actually a little surprised by the amount of criticism in here when reading back through posts.

Looking back at the last Thor and Strange movies, this makes me realize what slogs both of those were.

 

Strange 2 was much better than this

 

That's a shame to hear because Strange 2 was utter dog shit

 

Both of you need to stop before you tear this family apart.

 

Lol I'm just being overly dramatic. It was fine, just felt rushed and messy to me

 

Wakanda Forever was so underwhelming. I felt nothing for most of the movie. It being so long helped nothing.

 

I would put this film over DS2 but that’s not saying much. DS2 was a 6/10 for me and this was like a 6.5/10. Both were better than Thor 4 which is like a 5/10

 

Thor 4 was like a 2 out of 10 for me.

 

I liked them all fine.

 

No, you're right. Strange 2 is an embarrassment to the MCU and movies in general.

Hot but honest take that we all need to accept:

Even Eternals is better than Strange 2 and Thor 4.

I loved The Eternals. Great movie to watch on drugs.

 

I honestly feel like Eternals is a film most of the fandom will come back to in a few years and appreciate.

 

I definitely see how this leaves room for a future Wakanda D+ series. With Romonda gone, Shuri keeping some distance from Wakanda, and Nakia in Haiti, they can definitely do something that focuses more on Dora Milaje characters and M'Baku that fleshes out that pocket of the universe a bit more.

 

I must be getting old because this movie is too damn dark. Turn a light on or something
