Speaking of spear. So the spear Shuri is impaled on then cuts to get free, is not made of vibranium but vibranium tipped.

The fights are one of my biggest problems with it. Why would Shuri, a super intelligent character, just continue shooting at Namor, when it's been shown time and again that he's very fast and can easily dodge anything thrown or shot at him? The whole scene felt like something out of "Black Adam" or "Man of Steel."

M’Baku’s advisement and affectionate mentoring of Shuri was actually one of my favorite plot points. His scene with Shuri after Ramonda’s death (which I definitely was not anticipating by the way because I’d gone into this film thinking T’Challa’s death was more than enough to grapple with)is probably my favorite scene looking back.

i love m'baku but the tone of ending the film essentially with him saying he's gonna challenge for the throne is so odd

Everything with Namor felt so rushed which is wild cause this movie felt so long. Also the underwater scenes looked like shit. Aquaman did the underwater stuff so much better.

  11. More like Wakanda Forever and ever and ever wow

  12. This movie really only shined when he was onscreen.

Namor was a misfire, Tenoch was good but they didn't give him really interesting to work with, just a cookie cutter origin story

I liked this. I think the less I try to poke holes in it the better cause there are certainly some for the picking. Was probably a bit too long but really liked what they did with pretty much all the characters.

    - Bassett's performance was Oscar worthy
    - Shuri's arc definitely felt a bit formulaic, but I like her character so was happy with the focus on her and think Wright still did a good job with it
    - Riri was fun. Bring that same energy to Ironheart and that should be fun too
    - Huetra did a great job as Namor
    - Was nice getting to see more development of Nakia and Okoye
    - M'Baku was kinda disappointing to see reduced to comic relief, though they redeemed it with that one scene at the end with Shuri and also the comic relief bits were funny so...
    - Jordan completed commanded that scene as Killmonger
    - Glad we didn't get any CGI chadwick. I think they did a great job with how they used the flashbacks, though I do wonder how that stuff will hold up when future generations view the movie without the Chadwick memorial being as important. Will it stand out as being weird or will it still fit with the rest of the movie?
One thing that is still bugging me though but I feel is less the movie's fault and more MCU's fault:

In a world where the snap (sorry Disney not calling it a 'blip' just like I'm not calling the robot elephants in star wars "at ats") didn't occur, Namor's extremist isolationist views hold up a whole lot better than in a world where the snap did occur. Presumably, Namor didn't get snapped as I'm not sure how the Talokan's would've held up without him. But if he wasn't snapped, I'm not sure I buy him sitting back and doing nothing while the fate of half his people hang's in the balance. Really feels like the movie is better if you just pretend the snap wasn't a thing.
