A student today told me that his father would not let him go see the movie because he was afraid that his son would be beaten up by black people. It is hard to imagine this kind of attitude still going on.

I had a friend come in town last weekend who hadn't seen it and was excited for Avengers, so I took him. I normally don't see movies more than once in the theater, but this hold up maybe even better on round 2. It's pretty perfect and so well crafted for the amount of things put into one movie. It's so crazy how strong Phase 3 of the MCU is quality wise.

 

Finally got around to seeing this and I can't believe I waited so long, it fully lived up to the hype. Everything (action, visuals, music, performances) was phenomenal. Killmonger is definitely one of the best Marvel villains

Really happy with this turnaround in quality with the Marvel movies lately, around Avengers 2 the series was really starting to lose me but they've all been great lately. Actually excited for Avengers 3 next month now

 

Passed Titanic as the #3 top grossing film of all time domestically.

$1.3 BILLION gross on a $200 million budget is INSANE.

They could just replace his role in Spider-Man with Terrance Howard though, so it's all good.

 

Not at all surprised. No chance he nor Marvel/Disney were gonna be satisfied with him “maybe one day being the Prowler” after how insanely huge he’s become between Solo, This is America, and the upcoming Lion King.

 

I would rather he have a hero role than a villain tbh

 

Why doesn’t T’Challa expose Erik as the reason Klaw escaped in Korea? Shouldn’t that have stopped him from being able to challenge T’Challa for the throne?

 

I understand if this means nothing to anyone else, but I like that theres SOME award show that gave this the top prize
