We just saw this and goddamn it was great. Honestly my only complaint was that sometimes it felt like everything was moving so fast, but that may just be because I’ve grown used to movies having more ‘filler’ and such. I wouldn’t have minded spending more time with Killmonger and exploring his relationship with everyone and such but...so so so good

finally got a chance in seeing this. Solid typical marvel flare for me. Nothing more to say really. Another 8/10 marvel movie, but thats coming from someone who's not the biggest of fanboys for these type of movies so take my review with a grain of salt.

i thought Shuri was the best part of the movie i'll say that. Oddly enough, my least favorite actor/character was probably Black Panther himself. Thought the whole cast around him was absolutely perfect. Michael Jordan was a very solid villain.

Am I the only one excited for Shuri to meet Tony Stark? I hope that happens.

I look forward to it but I doubt it will happen in Infinity War. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tony doesn’t share screen time team Cap (or Wakanda) until Avengers 4.

Finally saw this tonight. The conflict really affected me in a way that most other Marvel movies haven't... loved how personal it felt. More Marvel movies need to find the 1v1 thematic elements of fights. Yeah, they had the "threat to the world" stuff, but what they were really fighting over was the soul of their country. It's interesting how T'Challa found a middle way between complete secrecy and outreach.

Only qualm was that the beginning was a little slow, but it did a good job with the necessary table-setting. As soon as we were in Wakanda full-time, I was 100% invested.

It's gotten to the point where I don't know if I've seen certain marvel universe movies. Gun to my head have I seen Thor 2? No idea

If the stage play scene in Thor: Ragnarok seemed familiar, than you’ve seen Thor 2

Wow, when I look at that list again, Phase 3 has easily been the best so far for overall quality. Seems like they're really figuring this ish out.

Who would have thought that Black Panther would cross $1 billion on his first film.

Doctor Strange and Homecoming aren't great, but the other 4 are all among my favorite comic book films ever. Wild how solid these past couple years have been.

The only bitter aspect of this is imagining Edgar Wright's Ant-Man, Patty Jenkins' Thor 2, and an unrestrained Shane Black's Iron Man 3, if Phase 2 had operated on Phase 3's level.

"Black Panther is a risky film. How can you make a successful comic book movie not driven by white dudes?"

I'm curious of Wright's Ant Man, but I'm fine with what we got. Ant-Man was easily one of my favorite Marvel movies.

After how much people liked T’Challa in Civil War I don’t know how anyone didn’t find it possible for this film to reach one billion at the box office. I’m not surprised.

Girl's Trip, Black Panther, A Wrinkle In Time etc clearly show that black people go to the movies when there are movies for them

I like it as a breather between Age Of Ultron and Civil War, but I haven’t watched it enough on its own to judge outside of that.

I suspect Wright's Ant-Man still would've sidelined Wasp, which is my biggest complaint with the film. But, it also would've probably thrived in a lot of the same ways as Thor: Ragnarok.

I liked what we got, but I haven't felt like going back to it in a long time. Part of my excitement over Ant-Man and the Wasp is my hope that it doubles down on everything the first film nailed while improving its weaker elements. Should help that the team developed it from the start instead of picking up an abandoned passion project.

They could always say that while the songs exists in the MCU, it could have been released earlier and for a different reason.

In the 21st century, only two films have been number 1 at the box office five weeks in a row. This, and Avatar.

This box office run is unreal. I love it
