Party Up should be in every movie even if it's anachronistic hell especially then, use it in period pieces
If you went back in time by 5 years, I wonder how people would react if they were told Black Panther beat Justice League's domestic total in its standard President's Day 4-day weekend debut.
'Man of Steel' came out in 2013. So did 'Fruitville Station.' So .... me! The one yelling about Zach Snyder since like 2008. And trying to get everyone to watch Fruitville. I woulda been like yes, this is happening.
Most people would have asked what Black Panther is. I probably would have told you that you're crazy.
At that point, if you mentioned movies with phenomenal black actors and panthers, you'd probably just hear about the one disappointment in Beyoncé.
Interesting rebuttal to the Boston Reader article. https://www.theroot.com/killmonger-was-wrong-and-ya-ll-know-it-1823134207
Phrasing your take "Killmonger was wrong" seems even worse than phrasing it "Killmonger was right". There were things he was definitely right about. And there were things that he was wrong about (most notably burning the heart shaped herb). And there were a lot of things caused by his unique life experiences and unbringing that make it hard for others to really judge if he is "right" or "wrong" If people want to discuss, they should be talking "What was killmonger right/wrong about?" not "was killmonger right/wrong?"
He was smart to burn the flowers, those things were the only way anyone could have challenged him for the throne. With the flowers gone he would’ve been the only one with powers.
I think the people saying Killmonger was wrong are looking at it differently than people who say he wasn’t right. The people saying he wasn’t wrong are most likely looking at what his final goals were which was to be a global emporeor. The people saying he was right are looking more into his past and his motivation. I wouldn’t say either of those people are wrong and long as they’re not saying he is wrong to not be angry and right to want to rule the Earth as an emporeor.
I think the original “right” and “wrong” that was talked about was “right” as in good and “wrong” as in evil. Burning the plants was a selfish thing to do so that he could remain in power while causing Wakandans to lose to bridge the their ancestors. I would say it was “wrong”.
