Eulogy is a top 10 Black Mirror episode for me and a reminder that Paul Giamatti is one of the greats. I'm such a sucker for the "depressing AF yet make you think about every decision you've ever made in your life" episodes (i.e. SAN JUNIPERO, HANG THE DJ, BE RIGHT BACK).
I've watched Eulogy and Common People. Is Callister the only other episode worth watching from this season?
Yeah I would say those three are in the top tier Plaything is in the ok tier Bete Noire and Hotel Reverie are in the bad tier I would still watch all of them though
I've enjoyed all of them so they were worth watching for me. I think they're worth checking out even if someone doesn't enjoy all of them, better to find out for yourself than to just follow popular opinion.
The first two episodes weren’t good. Glad to see the others seem better because damn Bete Noire has to be in contention for worst episode of the series
Bete Noire was so half assed, sort of baffling in how much it falls apart if you think about it for more than a minute
Still have one to go, but you were all right about "Eulogy." That might make my top 3 episodes of the show, along with "The Entire History of You" and "San Junipero."
“What if you did a bunch of acid and played too much video games” is the worst concept for a black mirror episode, probably ever. I think the main actor (not Peter Capaldi) was also really bad in that one.
Finished the season today. Loved "Into Infinity," especially Jimmi Simpson. Really good season overall. Even the weaker episodes — "Bete Noire" and "Hotel Reverie" — are interesting ideas with sloppy execution.
