If you’re looking to fill the void while waiting check out Tales from the Loop on Amazon Prime. It’s like a dash of black mirror mixed with a thoughtful & well done drama.
i got halfway through the Anthony Mackie episode before I stopped. it had some trans undertones that it wasn't addressing properly and made me feel icky
Such a good recommendation, so cruel that it only got one season (although it’s beautifully self-contained if that’s how it had to be).
Coming 2025. Didn't pause and examine every frame of the names scrolling by but did recognize a couple names in that clip, so I'm assuming it's the cast for each ep maybe?
Wait is that Will Poulter playing an older version of his character from Bandersnatch? I knew USS Callister was getting a sequel but didn't expect that too.
Still haven't watched Season 6 but from everything I have heard/read, sounds like I'm not missing anything?
I liked it better than season 5. I thought 3/5th of it was pretty good. I dug Joan Is Awful, Beyond The Sea, and Loch Henry. The reason that season 6 seemed weird is that they filmed a few episodes for a horror themed spinoff called "Red Mirror" before they scrapped the concept, so a couple of them seem thematically out of place.
Rashida Jones as an elementary school teacher with a brainchip being made to read ads to kids is such a wicked concept.
Giamatti acting his ass off in this trailer really going after that best actor in a limited series/anthology/tv movie Emmy goddamn
TIL Black Mirror has never won an Emmy for acting in it's entire run. It's won the Best TV Movie Emmy 3 times (San Junipero, USS Callister, Bandersnatch) and Brooker has won an Emmy for writing twice (San Junipero and USS Callister), but never acting.
This show has plummeted in quality since the early seasons but I’ll still check out whatever comes next
Common People, Eulogy, and USS Callister: Into Infinity look sick Hotel Reverie looks like a typical Star Trek holodeck episode I have seen a bunch of versions of, but I am sure BM's take on it will be interesting.
The Rashida Jones/Chris O'Dowd brainchip that makes you say ads to people one is opening the season and the USS Callister sequel is closing it.
