So I just rewatched the series and somehow I missed shut up and dance the first time. What a freakin episode... darkest thing I’ve ever seen
Read somewhere suggesting that Metalhead was a White bear like experience where people paid to pilot drone dogs to execute convicted felons. Feel like a twist like that might've actually made the episode interesting.
I was thinking about this episode today out of the blue & then quickly realized it’s my favorite of the series. Great story, great actors, great aesthetic.
I'm so bad at watching TV. Like, when I first read about this show in 2014, I knew I would love it -- a dark, British sci-fi anthology with twist endings -- and every time it's been brought up since it has only sounded better -- a Christmas episode?! episodes of varying length?? Daniel Kaluuya?? -- but it took me until a couple weeks ago to actually watch an episode. Of course, I love it, but it's been a little while and I've still only watched four episodes. I don't know if it's comforting or sad that I can't binge watch things like I did in high school, because I really want to have seen every episode of this show
me as i'm watching: huh they recorded this kid jerkin it, i think he's underage so that's child porn, wtf. episode progresses: huh, well, i was worried about the wrooooong thing, wtf their chemistry was perfect and so was the entire soundtrack for the episode.
at a certain point i just assumed something terrible was going to happen every single time and was pleasantly surprised when it didn't lol
i deep dived into this show and its so fucking good. i dont think theres a single episode i dont like or take something away from it and theres several episodes i love. San Junipero is the obvious pick, The Entire History Of Us, The Waldo Moment, Black Museum, White Bear and White Christmas. USS Calister is also great it just sticks out compared to the rest but in a good way
I just watched through the entire series over the last couple days and, damn, did I love it. I think there was maybe one or two episodes that I didn't really care for, but so many just felt like great individual stories.
Don't know how y'all do it. Just binging two episodes of this show sends me into a deep existential crisis.
China's terrifying social credit system to ban people from planes and trains Well that was sooner than expected...
Finished the first three seasons. Top tier: The Entire History of You, Be Right Back, San Junipero Middle Tier: (everything else) Bottom Tier: The National Anthem, The Waldo Moment, Shut up and Dance
Top tier: I was very emotionally invested Mid tier: I was somewhat emotionally invested(/somewhat irritated in some cases) Bottom tier: I was irritated most of the episode I can appreciate the whole "this can be happening right now" or "this has already happened since" but that can only get an episode so far for me.
