Maybe my least favorite season, but Hang the DJ is definitely one of my favorite episodes of the show.
USS Callister>Hang the DJ>>ArkAngel>Metalhead>>Crocodile>>>Black Museum Liked S4 a lot more than S3 (which I didn't really care for outside of San Junipero and Hated in the Nation) but still doesn't compare to S1 and S2. USS Callister and Hang the DJ probably crack my top 5 episodes of the show. As for the ones I didn't like, Crocodile was a single mildly interesting idea stretched out way too long with not nearly enough padding. Black Museum was trying so hard to be dark and edgy that it almost came off as self-parody ( most of the episode being shitty retreads of stories the show had already done much better didn't help)
I had the realization while watching USS Callister that he might be my favorite actor working right now
USS Callister > Arkangel (mostly cuz this one really pissed me off which I think is part of what this show should do) > Black Museum (didn't mind the mad scientist trope, seems fair they'd do it at least once) > Hang the DJ >>> Crocodile > Metalhead. Last two didn't do much for me. The technology in Crocodile didn't seem that significant to the plot, like it could have been replaced with a lot of different conventional technologies and gone down the same. Metalhead didn't even feel like a black mirror episode, felt more like a short film project someone did for school or something.
it took me a second to realize why I got such a creepy vibe from him (good acting aside) and then I remembered he was Todd. He's a great actor.
My boy, John from the Peaky 'fockin' Blinders died so he could find his perfect match in a Black Mirror episode. Nice! But really, episode 4 was awesome.
3 episodes in and it's all been very meh. First episode was good, but ultimately just a rehash of the "copies" from White Christmas. Arkangel is probably the most boring episode of the entire series; it's a decent concept with a very dull execution. Crocodile was unrelentingly bleak but not at all interesting. Again, the tech in the episode is just another rehash of a previous episode (The Entire History of You). So yeah, I'm not that impressed so far
Callister was pretty great confirmation that Breaking Bad and Black Mirror are in the same tv universe with Jesse gaming at the end lol
Black Museum was actually one of my favorites (along with USS Callister and Hang the DJ) and Metalhead was pretty easily my least favorite if the bunch. Thought this season was very good/on par with the third.
Four in and Hang the DJ is my favourite so far. Nothing hitting me like the highs of previous seasons so this will probably end up being my least favourite overall but still enjoying it a lot.
Regarding USS Callister How did he get everyone's memories/personalities? I imagine its possible by getting them to interface with the system, and given they all work at Callister its reasonable to assume they did that. But seems a little odd they didn't bother to at least give some sort of throwaway line in that direction, given they explained the 'how did he get the clones' bit...
The Entire History of You White Christmas San Junipero Shut Up and Dance White Bear Be Right Back Nosedive Fifteen Million Merits Hang the DJ Arkangel Black Museum USS Callister Playtest Crocodile The National Anthem Men Against Fire Hated in the Nation The Waldo Moment Metalhead Putting them up against the other seasons makes this one look pretty weak in comparison but I still liked it a lot except for Metalhead.
Black Museum>Hang The DJ>USS Callister>Crocodile>Arkangel>Metalhead The payoff at the end of Black Museum was just so satisfying
Haven't heard a lot of great things about this season, which is a bummer. But still excited to watch it.
Surprised so many people don’t like Metalhead. I loved it. It’s not as philosophical as the others but it looks pretty gorgeous and is entertaining. Plus it’s basicslly dog terminator
