Nosedive is just so damn good. That ending when she sees the dust motes floating in the yellow light, then explodes with reckless joy, yelling with the cellmate across the room- its the perfect way to close out the episode.
nosedive is fine but it is definitely lower tier. shut up and dance is so clearly the worst. playtest best
Shut up and dance is disturbing but done before. I enjoy it a solid amount but mostly it just makes me want to cover up my laptop’s camera lol
I actually really liked Hated in the Nation. Not sure if I'd call it my favorite but it's up there for sure.
Nosedive is decent, but the phrase "fuck you for Christmas" is just so good, and one that I have fully integrated into my vocabulary.
Not going to rank episodes, but my favorites are definitely White Bear, White Christmas and The Entire History of You. I think I'd throw Shut Up and Dance in the top tier for me as well. I did not care for Fifteen Million Merits (my least favorite) or Hated in the Nation at all. Nosedive and Men Against Fire would also be in the bottom tier for me too. Everything else is in the middle.
Honestly the only episode I don’t like is first one where he fucks the pig. The rest are interesting to amazing.
Also, whatever happened to this: Robert Downey Jr to turn episode of Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror into film
Nosedive gets too much hate. It’s easily the most creepy considering today’s climate of Facebook/Insta
Fifteen Million Merits is great but ultra-futuristic settings aren’t my favorite, so it doesn’t land too high on my list. My personal favs are the ones that still somewhat resemble the world we live in present day
I'm always disappointed when people say they don't like this episode. I think it's an excellent critique of the news cycle and the fickleness of public opinion and social media. It's both tragic and jarring. British satire at its audacious best. To be honest though, I think I prefer most episodes from the first series anyway which seems to be another unpopular opinion!
the only two episodes I'm not crazy about are Men Against Fire (I thought the big reveal was way too obvious) and The Waldo Moment (Waldo was just so unlikable, I couldn't get past it). but I still enjoyed both of those episodes. there are no episodes that I dislike.
I think fifteen million merits had me the most engrossed. The atmosphere did a better job of pulling you in than many of the episodes in the series. I would also echo white Christmas and hated in the nation as standouts. Least favorite would probably be playtest.
That one is really good--incredibly sad--but the ending was kinda underwhelming. It didn't really have a killer twist like the others.
I'm through the first two episodes of season 3, and Be Right Back is my second favorite behind White Bear (which I think is a level above everything else I've seen so far).
Fifteen Million Merits is my least favourite by a mile and a half. I like the concept, but it just absolutely draaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggged like a motherfucker for me. Which may have been partly intentional as a narrative device, which would be vaguely clever and all, but still that shit went on forever.
I think it definitely was intentionally done at a slower pace to hit home the monotony of daily life in that universe
That’s why I hate it. Seems like a parody of a Black Mirror episode. “DAE think we spend too much time on insta/Facebook?!” Best episodes are Junipero, White Christmas, and the one with the bees.
Amazing how so many different episodes are considered people’s favorites or least favorites. That’s what makes this show great. They refuse to cater to a single audience and with every new episode, you have no idea what you’re in for.
Fives have lives. Fours have chores. Threes have fleas. Twos have blues and Ones don't get a rhyme, because they're garbage.
