Meh. Anyone else feel like Hated had a massive plot-hole? Like, killer robots that find their targets using facial recognition software can be pretty easily defeated with one of these: Bring it the fuck on.
San Junipero is still one of my favorite tv episodes in the last several years. That episode was so good.
About 2 episodes left to go... I've been reading a lot of black mirror episode ranks. Man my least favorite episode, least memorable is making top 2 every time. The episode with the boyfriend robot doll. I don't get the love for that one. Compared to the rest of the series crazy shit, it's pretty mundane stuff. Like I think the San junuperio was wayyyyy better in terms of emotional pull within a sci fi world
Sounds like we're getting this in December, according to that Empire piece. Also, here are a couple promo photos. From "USS Callister" From "Arkangel"
finally got around to starting watching this. Thoughts on first few episodes: The National Anthem: Loved this episode. Thought the concept was rather unique and compelling to watch it play out. Fifteen Million Merits: Dystopian futures like this are a bit overdone. But still really enjoyed the characters and the story. The Entire History of You: Pretty much the opposite of Fifteen Million Merits. The concept here was really really strong, easily the strongest of the three, but ruined by thoroughly unlikable characters. The ending felt like it was suggesting The grain was the root of the guys problems and freeing himself was the way forward when really The fact that he was an abusive asshole was the root of the guys problems, and the grain had nothing to do with that. And even if that is actually the point they were trying to make, with such a unique concept for an episode concluding that Your cool concept doesn't really matter in the end is just a let down.
