It's funny everyone heralds White Christmas as one of the best episodes... I didn't really get into it when I first watched it. One of my least favourite actually.
That is the great thing about art, it is subjective. Almost everyone heralds San Junipero as the best episode and it is one of my least favorites. It is all taste.
I finally got around to watching White Christmas (did so on Christmas day actually) and yeah it was really good.
My roommate just told me about a friend of his who goes to the University of Waterloo (basically like Canada's MIT) who is currently working on a project for robot bees!!!
I fucking hate when every music thread devolves into ranking albums So here is my top 5 unranked after only watching them all once through: San Junipero White Bear White Christmas Shut Up and Dance Be Right Back Waldo is the only one that I considered to be even slightly garbage. What a great show.
Anyone not searching for some blu tac 15 minutes into Shut Up And Dance is fucked up. What's so great about this show is it actually makes you question and change you relationship to technology. You can't watch Nosedive and not change your social media habits at least slightly.
"San Junipero" was a really creepy episode. The idea of just going on, even with a new love, seems frightening. The scene in that massive warehouse during the credits also disturbed me because, that, too, will inevitably decay and crumble, erasing that happiness. It left me with very paradoxical feelings in retrospect.
Finally watched White Christmas, probably one of the better episodes of the series. Seasons 1 and 2 have a different, maybe better tone to them, can't put my finger on it. From season 3, San Junipero was easily my favorite.
Finally caught up with Hated in The Nation. I dug it, big time, though it was predictable from pretty early on. I do love how all of these episodes are slightly futuristic, and slightly sci-fi. This one, however, lacked the "oomph" that most of the other episodes had. The premise of "highest voted will die" was figured out pretty early on, but obviously the last few minutes weren't so easily assumed. The episode was good, but San Junipero still blows anything this show has done out of the water.
