Bumping this because I've been obsessed with this lately, and seeing the new songs live last week was epic. Tied with Sister Cities for my AOTY so far and is still holding up really well a month after release - wish this band would get more traction!
Sadly I didn't (still waiting to be able to afford a record player - got the shirt instead), but my brother picked up the signed red splatter vinyl which sounds fantastic!
This finally clicked with me after sitting on my phone for a few months. I had a feeling it would. Haven't wanted to listen to anything else for the past week.
It's really great. All of the songs that weren't immediate suddenly started getting stuck in my head.
I find the slower songs to be the most moving: Oh, It Had to Be You/Am I Losing It?/Take Me Home and the closer Float On. I'd go as far as to say it's currently number 3 for the year for me behind Shrine and Void Ripper.
Yeah Float On was the one that started getting lodged in my brain and it quickly carried over to the rest of the album. I fully expect all three of those albums to be big for me this year but so far this is the first one of them to really click. Have to spend more time with the other two.
The big wild is probably my favorite off this but I think at least half is on par with INW. Also in my top 5 of 2018 so far.
Both albums are excellent. I think I may actually prefer this one simply because I don't go back to INW as much but yeah it's a 1A/1B scenario. Band rules.
Man. This album is definitely worth spending time with. Started out liking it and now I absolutely love it. Didn’t think this at first, but I really see this as a big step up from their first album.
This album is my first introduction to this band. Finally got a chance to listen to the vinyl version of this I bought and it sounds great.
No idea, just saw it pop up on Spotify! Been on a bit of a Cure kick the last couple of weeks too so perfect timing haha
Word! This record didn’t really stick with me like I thought it would but I’m still here for whatever’s next
I completely thought this album existed. It was one of my favorites from 2018. Excited to see what's next!
