Whoever sings on Dancers is my favorite vocalist here

  4. Same, prefer her and Lewis to May (even though "Turbines/Pigs" is a stunner)

Honestly i think all three singers are killer the more i listen, and don’t feel a need to rank them.

At points, May sounds like Regina Spektor or Bjork.

Very few songwriters i trust to do animal-allegory stuff. Off the top of my head, Aaron Weiss and Joanna Newsom are about it.

    But Turbines/Pigs is just unreal.

Yeah I love this shit. Would love to hear these done in a studio.

Has there been any updates on Isaac? I hope he’s ok and in a good place.

the second half of The Boy is so good. the melody on Turbines/Pigs sounds so so familiar but I just can't place it.

  13. Last I read, he is working in a cake shop and doing well. Don't think he's on social media at all.

  14. Also, aside from some banter here or there, these mostly sound like studio sessions that were just recorded live. Great quality

I'm not huge on The Boy either tbh but Turbines is a top 5 BCNR song at minimum. really love the timbre of her voice too, I hear some Bjork in there for sure

honestly find Lewis' voice to be pretty plain, not bad at all but I don't love it. Wrong Trousers is definitely the weakest song from this project too, but Across the Pond is an absolute bop

Pfft The Boy is great. Big Joanna Newsom vibes there imo.

The Boy is cool but i wouldn’t want a whole record of it.

  19. It's got big theatre kid energy, even for this band

as a former theatre kid I entirely agree and mean it as a criticism

New song debuted the other day. It's so beautiful. Seems they're finding their groove now.

still think the last one is abysmal theater kid shit but this is really really good and making me go back to the debut a fair amount after taking a break from them entirely with the last one
