Imagine spending $200 million on a movie for the post credits scene to be best part and the main selling point now.
When the tracking wasn't looking too great "leaking" the post-credits scene is a way to drive awareness. It helped out Venom 2
Mostly excited for this due to Johnson's enthusiasm for the character. It's so great to see a superhero film talked about as a passion project. With him being the one who talked execs into getting Cavill back it really does seem like he wants this to be a film for the fans. Really hope it does well.
Zhao and Eternals flashbacks. I’ll hold judgement until I watch it, but it’s also unpleasant to see a film with so much passion poured into end up being….eh.
Never did I think this movie would actually be good, but do I think it will be fun? Yes. I'm seeing it tomorrow evening.
I might try to check this out next week if I have the time. Gonna go in with the lowest expectations possible though. I expect it to be on par with pretty much every other rock performance ever.
I mean, Shang-Chi was good. Multiverse of Madness was good. I feel like I’ll like this more than Black Adam. But I don’t know. No Way Home is good, but I think I hate Tom Holland now. Not totally his fault either. But between Sony giving him Uncharted where he is basically Peter Parker and all the god awful fan casts that his fans go for like every movie, I’m hoping I don’t see his face for a couple years.
Werewolf was good. But I didn’t love it. I also don’t really have a context of comparing a, at this moment, unique special vs full length movies. So I don’t even know I would compare it’s enjoyment to Black Adam.
this is pretty bad other than some good moments. it felt like it ended two and a half times, and dwayne johnson is sleepwalking over half the movie. not surprised this is a dud, the premiere dceu films (last one theatrically being josstice league) never turn out as one would hope and stay for the mid-credits if you must see this. you’ll never believe the shit that goes down
I'm feeling like this is going to be paced and badly done in somewhat of a fashion that 2003 Hulk was with Eric Bana. It's just a gut feeling; like, not the same but there will be elements that will be reminiscent. DC's superhero film-making is still crude and misdirected. WB is really hurting.
