HELL yeah love all this. Looks like 1. Domestic ducks (basically mutts) 2. Brown-headed Cowbird 3. Male House Sparrow 4. Goldfinch (not sure if Lesser or American 5. Egyptian Goose 6. Neotropic Cormorant (I think, maybe Double-crested) 7. Black Vulture You can usually get some pretty good stuff just walking through Brackenridge Park too
So we had a pair of Mourning Doves build a nest in one of my wife's hanging planters on our front porch. My daughter lovingly named the female Apple Snuggle and the male Tomato Bounce. After some time the female laid a pair of eggs. Let me tell you, dove chicks are cute lol. It was cool seeing them grow every day. They finally left the nest last week but still hung out in the yard for a day or two while mom and dad always watched from nearby. Daughter named them Cherry Snuggle and Banana Snuggle, of course. Then a few days later the same (or a different?) pair of doves came back to the nest. I think we're gonna get a round two of chicks!
Ah a progressive dove couple, the wife keeping her surname and the kids getting the mother's surname and not the father's
Sandy and Luna , the eaglets, and Jackie and Shadow, have been huge for us the past X months.... watching them grow is amazing!
Our Mourning Dove nest is already occupied again and there are new eggs! I don't think it's Apple Snuggle again, must be some new couple
