how was it?

 

awesome! we went last year too and loved it. Unfortunately there was a scheduling conflict with the live bird demo so we didn't get to see cool hawks and owls and kookaburras lol. But our daughter loved all the little games and activities. we also got to go on a golf cart tour around the lake and they supplied binoculars for everyone, so my little three year old was scoping out the ducks just like her dad. proud moment haha

 

Saw a red-headed woodpecker in the back yard yesterday. We usually have a woodpecker or two hanging around, but hadn’t seen the red headed one before.

 

I've decided woodpeckers are my favorite type of bird. They're so cool to watch. Wish I had a built-in shock system in my skull

 

Saw two burrowing owls this morning. They are so small and look so angry lol

 

ugh jealous, I'd love to see more owls. I've only ever seen their silhouettes/heard their calls. Great Horned and Barred owls, to be specific

I forgot to post but I had a mockingbird in my backyard yesterday which was cool

 

It kept telling me how bad my posts are

But no seriously it sounded so pretty

 

Mockingbirds are simultaneously so cool and so annoying
