awesome! we went last year too and loved it. Unfortunately there was a scheduling conflict with the live bird demo so we didn't get to see cool hawks and owls and kookaburras lol. But our daughter loved all the little games and activities. we also got to go on a golf cart tour around the lake and they supplied binoculars for everyone, so my little three year old was scoping out the ducks just like her dad. proud moment haha
Saw a red-headed woodpecker in the back yard yesterday. We usually have a woodpecker or two hanging around, but hadn’t seen the red headed one before.
I've decided woodpeckers are my favorite type of bird. They're so cool to watch. Wish I had a built-in shock system in my skull
ugh jealous, I'd love to see more owls. I've only ever seen their silhouettes/heard their calls. Great Horned and Barred owls, to be specific

Just started getting into this. Got a sweet pair of binoculars and saw hella house finches and cow birds today
I don't mind the starlings too much, but their flock mates the Grackle will empty our 4 feeders in a day. I was able to switch food last year and keep them away but this spring they are back in numbers over 30!
Grackles are fiends. Thankfully they haven't found my feeders yet. Also they make insane sounds, they sound like laser guns lol
