Its been a good 6 years since I've seen these guys and that was in a basement with Loma Prieta. 2012 was a good time for screamo.

Goddamit. I totally just realized this is the same weekend as my trip out to LA to see Cave In/Isis/et al. I'm already doing Thrice the Friday before and have a morning flight out on Saturday for the show that night. My flight back from LA gets in at 8 PM on Sunday. Maybe I can run over to the airport after I get in since Livewire shows don't usually start until 9 at the earliest....

 

what are the odds B would be willing/available to do a tattoo while he’s in town?

this is SUCH a special album. each song is its own individual experience, but they all flow into each other so beautifully. the sheer rage and emotional firepower in the heavy parts is unlike any other album i’ve heard this year either

 

i just haven't been in the right mindset to delve into this. probably listened to it 4 or 5 times and like it reasonably. they've always been a big fall band for me, so i'm hoping it moves me a bit more when it starts to cool down

I finally got to see these guys tonight. They did not disappoint and played the album in full, not in order. Just did all nine songs.

 

seeing these lads for the second time in 4 months tonight. YEET
