I am not responsible for the people in my immediate area’s safety if I ever get to see the heavy part of Trompe live
They've been playing that and Rodin to close out their live sets it seems -- I'm going to go absolutely nuts for both. I haven't been able to stop listening to this album since it dropped. I also read the lyrics on the vinyl yesterday while listening and it's definitely a step up from everything else they've released.
this took a handful of listens to properly click but i'm really enjoying it on my early morning frigid fall runs.
haven’t been able to play much else but this recently. it’s a force of an album. @sophos34 , curious to hear what you think about this! you’re a big reason i got so heavily invested in this band.
man these lyrics are killer. pretty sure noah is supposed to be about turning down big industry money to remain independent and in control of their own art? a very worn topic that i think they tackle with the most honest and sincerity by a long shot. It sounds romantic somehow, echoes inside my brain murmuring again and again: You should have taken the money, you fool.
Unfortunately, a decent amount of the lyrics hadn't even been online for a minute when the album came out, but I finally got the album and sat down reading the liner while listening and it was really an experience. I've loved this band with a passion for about 10 years now (you know this well, lol) but the lyrics on this one really push it above all the rest. And it just feels so cohesive in terms of songwriting and content, with the transitions being seamless as hell. When I love a band, I usually listen to an album on repeat for a week or two and then get back into my regular habits, coming back to it now and again. However, I don't think I've *consistently* come back and listened to an album like I've done with this one. I'll listen through to a new drop once and go immediately back to this.
Can’t get enough of this album, I’ve had Nympheas stuck in my head all week But nothing they say means a thing to you
I always say "oh no" when someone updates an even slightly niche band/album thread and the accountability thread simultaneously so yes, good outcome!
Just heard these guys for the first time randomly through a music league prompt. Excited to dig into them more. Only track i heard so far was "Noah". I saw they made a new side project with other collaborators called Pain Magazine, so will be giving that a go too.
