solid tune. hook sounds like ‘Savin’ Me’ by Nickelback at points though haha (not a bad thing, love that song too).
Man, the new song is so good. Looking forward to the new album. So far there seems to be less twanger riffs though, which is what really caught my attention last album.
Song is pretty good, but it still feels like some magic sauce that was happening on American Motor Sports is missing.
Also fine that he linked up with Jeremy and this song kinda happened spontaneously apparently but he doesn't add much to it and I would've been fine with it being just Johnny tbh
On the verge of teetering into style over substance these days. Joke is funny but songs are getting weaker.
Yeah, watched the music video (very good, as always) and my main thought was, "man, I miss when ADTR wrote good hooks like this."
I think this is exactly how I feel, but def still like it unrelated to anything, i'm sure its for the sake of hearing the song while filming, but i'm amazed nobody on this set was like 'do we need to do something about the single airpods'
People aren’t talking about the end of the video enough when Johnny can’t reach his beer to his face because of the armor he’s wearing and he breaks character.
I liked it of course, but autopilot seems like a good descriptor. The full album in sequence may change my tune.
This is out there and yeah it rocks. It's not really pushing new ground, but if you liked American Motor Sports, you'll love this. I think "HONEST" is the quintessential Bilmuri song, it's packed with tasty sax riffs, delicate acoustic guitars, chunky rhythm guitars, and big ol' gang vocals. "KINDA HARD" is memorable as just an absurdly silly intro track, and "ROCK BOTTOM" is so catchy and has such fun guitar licks that it deserves to be a radio hit immediately.
