Artists have been doing that for a few years now, it’s the streaming era. I’d hardly call it manipulating the charts.
Came up on a ticket last night just before the show, paid a lil over face value but it was worth it. Had a great time. His band is incredible, the guy he’s got behind the kit in particular is absolutely unreal good. Adds a lot of flavor to the songs that isn’t really present on the album Also they debuted a new song - it was good. Very standard Bilmuri, sounds exactly like Emptyhanded or something. He said it would be out in about a month
Aghhhhh yesss! Glad you got to see them man. I think I mentioned above but I had to sell my tix for DC last minute cuz it was middle of the week and life gets in the way, but I regret it because this is absolute one of my fave records of the year.
Couldn’t tell you tbh! I tried looking at their last setlist for ya but I’m so bad at their old song titles haha, not sure which one of those didn’t make it. All of the ones from the LP I can see were played though.
Got ya. I saw he posted before the tour(s) the full set list he planned on playing for this and last tour. I saw it while back but now forget the list, which is good. I’m all for surprises. I’m sure I’ll compare my set list on Sunday and see what was replaced (if anything).
Show was SO good. Kind of took me back to my early 20's or late teens with that energy and my hype level. They have been my absolute favorite band of the last 365 days since I first listened to them(him?). I mentioned previously that I was going to, but I ran a 50 mile trail race yesterday(10th place out of 159th!). Thought I would be very "hobbley", but tonight I was in the pit for several songs, jumping, pushing, dancing. This 38 year old man couldn't hold it in any more and had to get rowdy during "ABSOLUTLYCRANKINMYMFINHOG" (and then off and on during several others). Felt good to let the show fully consume me for a bit. New song "The End" honestly sounded great. GREAT. A perfect Bilmuri song. Looks like that replaced 80/20, which is a bummer, but I get it. Opener 405 was good and fun enough. There were some actual children in the "pit" area on parents shoulders at times and they called out a "children only" mosh pit. Which was fun. A few young ones were in there jumping around.
Saw him on a whim in Atlanta tonight. I was here for work and finished early, and thought, what the heck why not. incredible decision. This band is so amazing and tight live. I’m so impressed with how full they sound without a bass player, and even if there is some production magic happening, it’s still incredible. the absolute highlight of his band is Gabi Rose though. She is absolutely incredible. Sax, flute, harmonies and lead vocals, she is so talented, with incredible stage presence and charisma.
Went to this show last night. Heard about them for the first time the night before. I am unsure how I was so late to this. I was kind of embarrassed about it. It was packed. Everyone (else) knew every word. This was an incredible show. The new song featured more of the girl, and I believe they were filming a video for it last night. My wife was super impressed as well. The sax blew her mind. This band is about to be huge I’d think.
I first heard of Gabi Rose here. She can wail. An absolute banger from one of the Wolves of Glendale.
Listened to this for the first time a couple days ago on a whim and what even is this? My first Bilmuri album and it's countrycore and I love it?
It has to be a top 10 for me this year based on listens alone. The only record I’ve scrobbled more times than this in the last calendar year was literally my 2023 aoty lol
I haven't been able to stop listening almost daily for over a month now. Really solid hooks that just grow better with every listen.
