Yeah I’m sure she’ll be fine. With her brother playing a huge role in her music and life I’m sure he’ll steer her in the right direction if she ever goes off track. Weirdly I was thinking last night about the whole hitting it big from a young age like she has scenario. The first artist that came to mind who had a similar path is Avril Lavigne who you can tell had a lot of inspiration to Billie in interviews. They seem to be really good friends these days too.
Yep. I'd also imagine a lot of Lorde's success in managing her fame/popularity stems from the fact that she isn't afraid to pull back from the public eye and take a lot of time in between releases.
Yeah it's honestly kinda amazing how she is able to pull back from the public eye when she wants. You gotta think a big part of it is living in New Zealand and them not having the same paparazzi culture. It's similar to when Taylor was living in the UK, people were shocked she was so out of the public eye, but she just was simply living her life in another country that isn't so damn invasive
Very true. Stephen Colbert was recently in New Zealand and the prime minister legit picked him up at the airport in her Hyundai, nbd. You'd never see a high ranking politician do something like that in the US, especially without a huge amount of security. I thought that was pretty rad.
Anyone want to explain what this Van Halen / billie eilish stuff is? I don't understand what is happening here
Van Halen are fuckin GREAT but you probably would hate them haha. You definitely would recognize their key hits, but just don't know their name
Whenever I hear about Van Halen the first thing that always comes to my mind is Bill Hader singing Panama in Superbad
"In November, Billie Eilish and her brother-producer Finneas O’Connell performed an acoustic set at Jack White’s Third Man Records for a small group of family, friends and fans. Now, that performance is coming to vinyl. An LP of Eilish’s acoustic set will be released to Third Man record stores in Nashville and Detroit this Friday."
