so glad to be alive in the Big Thief era

 

This was literally all I was thinking this morning while listening to the new song on repeat.

 

This songs phenomenal, i could see this being my AOTY

Ok so forgotten eyes is the song that’s gotten me into this band.

 

this session did it for me

 

I played Forgotten Eyes for my students and one said that she sounds like Alfalfa singing “you are so beautiful to me” and now I can’t not hear that. It’s still one of the best songs I’ve heard all year

 

I was gonna post yesterday how Forgotten Eyes may in fact be a top 3 BT song, but then you said that. Smh

the idea of three full big thief albums not doing it for you is literally inconceivable to me but glad to have you here at all

To be fair, I liked their first two records and Adrianne's solo album last year, but I wasn't truly blown away by this band until UFOF

And I think this album might be even better

 

Im probably gonna check out rotate today or tomorrow and pray they got it. They had UFOF our a week early

 

in terms of pure emotional impact/resonance, capacity holds the top spot in my heart and has for some time, but also it feels like their entire repertoire was tailor made to affect me so idk

 

As of right now, pretty much any of the 3 could be my favorite. We'll see what Two Hands does to that.
