they're killin me with that "Vol. 1"

 

These songs rule, as good as just about anything else they've released. The full band "abysskiss" is something.

 

Yeah, “Abysskiss” is awesome. “Live Young” is my favorite.

 

Naming it after a location tricked me into thinking it was a live tape and I got way too excited. This is really really great too though

 

in the politest possible way, I think it's absolutely astounding that "Live Young" didn't make either record

 

At least what we’ve learned from Big Thief is that it could still very well make a future LP.

I love how willing they are to demo adriannes solo stuff with full band takes as well

 

there's an elliptical feeling to these demos that reminds me of certain late 90's "aimlessly driving" indie rock bands, Built to Spill, Sun Kil Moon, Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, even some Modest Mouse

I'd love to see if that's the direction they take for their next one, they do it so well and there's no one really doing it rn

I could very well see her knocking out another solo album in this time. Hyped for whatever though.

 

Imagine having the balls to leave “Love In Mine” off Two Hands. Incredible. So much respect.

I think it’s better than a handful of songs on the record but yet....it feels like the right decision. Two Hands is perfect so, congrats.
