I’ve always felt that this band was good at what they do but never anything I wanted to binge listen to, but this album cycle is turning me into a stan.

 

I love this. Not sure if I love it even more than UFOF but that's a damn high bar

 

not quite sure how but this band has put out their opus twice in one year?

 

All of it becomes even more impressive when you remember they dropped their debut album only a bit over 3 years ago. Truly a special band.

 

I love this record, and I’ve only had 2 days with it. But it might still be my 3rd favorite of theirs at the moment. Capacity and UFOF are so phenomenal. And so is this.

My favourite thing this weekend has been listening U.F.O.F. and this back-to-back like they’re a double album, again and again.

 

This album is wonderful and I have no qualms with people who say it's their best, but I'm surprised at the amount of people who say it's better than ufof. Two hands is great but ufof is otherworldly.

 

Joking aside I agree. These two records could go 1-2 on a lot of year end lists and it would be warranted. But man, UFOF is perfect. It’s not a knock on Two Hands. UFOF is just that unbelievable.

Capacity is probably my favourite collection of individual BT songs, but as a full album experience, I prefer U.F.O.F.

I played this again today and it really hit harder, Two Hands and Wolf are real standouts

Its hard to compare, these might just be a shared #1 for me, UFOF kind of feels more like entering a whole other world, but some of the songs on here just so fucking good.

Band is unreal.

Listened to this band today and put on U.F.O.F. on immediately after Two Hands.. fuck this band is so good

 

Looks like they’ve been changing up the setlist a bit every night so far, though all the shows were in NY so that could be why. Mostly just playing for the sequencing, but a few songs swapped too. They opened the Friday show with “Mary” which seems insane.

 

I'm seeing them on Thursday and I really hope they save Mary for last so I can cry in my car on the way home and not throughout the entire show.

 

I don’t think I’ll ever get over Adrianne snapping “It’s not the hunger revealing” on “Not”. Maybe the single best musical moment of 2019.

 

I have officially made my parents into Big Thief fans hell ya
