Ten years ago today, Big Thief played their first show. Excited to see how the next ten go!

also Uncut magazine is suggesting they'll release an album in the fall even though they haven't recorded yet. We'll see how that plays out

 

they're in nyc now. buck recently posted looking for a dog sitter until feb 3, so i assume they're recording for the next 2.5 weeks

 

Looks like they are recording at Power Station in Manhattan. Adrianne posted pics of engineer Dom Monks and also this one of Mikey Buishas on piano. Jon Nellen (tour second drummer) was tagged in a post but not seen

Jon posted a pic of him in the studio. I can picture piano added to Incomprehensible or any of Adrianne's more straightforward solo songs. I can't really imagine where they might add some Laraaji texture

yesterday they posted this pic. the tape reels on the wall say Big Thief - Double Infinity Master Reel. plus a bunch of song titles. the only ones i can make out are Los Angeles, Words, Incomprehensible, I Do Love You, and Double Infinity (don't think that's a known song yet). not sure if double infinity will end up being the album title (UFOF was originally labeled as Celestial) but if it's also a song title then i think there's a strong chance
