yeah I LIKE the songs, but they're not knocking me over like their previous roll out tracks have

 

4/9 songs already out when we still have a month to go before the album drops sure is a choice. I know you can just not listen but I don’t get when artists do that.

 

They’re gonna release more songs no question. And I don’t think they care, they pretty much do this all the time. Also wouldn’t be shocked if we get another record next year.

The fucking streaming game is why, it's gotta be about numbers and staying in the conversation in an overwhelming musical climate with swift turnover. It's brutal. I've only heard Incomprehensible a few times and that's enough for me, staying away until the album's out.

 

Los Angeles is such a big winner. There's a small part of me that thinks this could be an infinite loop of an album which is incredibly exciting to me

 

because most people stream songs not albums. well really they stream spotify playlists and if you put out new singles you get added to the fresh new indie or whatever nonsense playlist there is

 

but yeah I'm not gonna listen to these two either haha

 

All albums can be an infinite loop if you turn on repeat!

I’ve actually had these 4 songs on repeat and now I’m like oh wow, they’ve done it again.

 

“No Fear” is 6:59, is that the longest Big Thief song?

 

Yeah, previously the longest songs were Not at 6:07 and bunker studio Black Diamonds at 6:17. Plus now there's Grandmother at 6:00

Los Angeles is as great as I had hoped. I basically could not care less about the live version of Grandmother but the studio version is great!

 

The flow from “Los Angeles” to “All Day All Night” is wonderful.
