I've liked all the singles so far as someone who's never even cared for Big Sean much. Very interested in this album.
I really think his last album rose above that, more than half the Dark Sky Paradise tracks stand out on their own and I certainly wouldn't call them boring
Personally I think Dark Sky Paradise tracks were pretty cookie cutter. I wasnt too impressed. I am really rooting for him though. I think his best work is on features tbh
I guess each to his own, but I'm not sure how you could listen to songs like Paradise, All Your Fault or even IDFWY and think they don't stand out from the rest of his stuff stylistically. Honestly, I think Kanye exec producing really had an audible effect on the album, at least production-wise, even for the tracks he didn't produce hands on
I do think those songs stand out haha but them and One Man Can Change the World are the only songs worth listening to on that record, in my opinion.
Yeah I gotcha. I would still add Dark Sky and Blessings as songs worth listening to, and that's already half the album at that point. And I enjoy the other half still, just not as much
Intro Light (feat. Jeremih) Bounce Back No Favors (feat. Eminem) Jump Out the Window Moves Same Time, Pt. I (feat. Twenty88) Owe Me Halfway Off the Balcony Voices In My Head / Stick to the Plan Sunday Morning Jetpack (feat. The Dream) Inspire Me Sacrifices (feat. Migos) Bigger Than Me (feat. Flint Chosen Choir & Starrah)
featuring Twenty88 really bugs me, haha. Either featuring Aiko or it IS a Twenty88 song, featuring yourself is dumb
Yeah after one spin, I'm thinking this is probably his weakest album. I like some stuff on here, but nothing hits like the best songs off his last three (I get not liking Hall of Fame as a whole, but that still had some jams). Definite step down from DSP
Jump Out the Window is like him trying to ape Drake and Rae Sremmurd on the same track. So does Moves. This whole thing sounds like Sean trying to make If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
2017 already bad enough to make yourself listen to an Eminem verse. Downloaded every song on Spotify but that one
