Realityblurred posted another article about it with some credible supporting information, and, it just kinda makes sense for CBS. Another thing to add to CBS All Access; they expect growth for it with the new Star Trek, so it makes sense to put a reality show on since that's one of CBS's strong points. Also apparently the casting that they're using has done stuff with Survivor and TAR before.
Hrm. Strictly All Access seems weird but I think that's just me being stubborn to change. I can't see them actually doing this but, I'd be afraid that since it's not broadcast on TV they'd maybe not give it their full attention and quality would start to slip. For some reason I feel like there is potential for them to pull some BS and try to turn the fall season into something like "Season 18.5" instead of 19 and with that they'd have a new host, like Jeff or Dr. Will, take over for Julie for the fall. I already get everything from feeds anyway so the sunday/wednesday episodes are usually just a review with diary room interviews for me so the switch from TV to strictly All Access probably wouldn't effect me.
That was all kind of nuts. The house meeting was silly and Paul made himself out to be an idiot. Paulie is a good player and I'm surprised nobody is seeing that yet. The dude seriously has a good chance to win the game. I don't understand the dislike for Frank in the house, he's been pretty loyal the whole time and the only reason why he's going to be evicted is because of his lack of social awareness earlier on. Day continues to be the worst player I think the show has ever seen. Frank was 100% right when talking to Michelle. She's not going to get very far in the game so why not make a big move.
paul is a dumbass. not emotionally ready for tonight's episode. Non-showmance HoH's are dumb if they don't manipulate the showmances. ie. put up Cory and that's a guaranteed vote against whoever they're up against.
I was really hoping he would go back in but at least now we don't have to hear all the "it's rigged" conspiracies.
Online only Fall BB19 confirmed. 'Big Brother' Moves to Fall on CBS All Access Also- only 10 weeks instead of 13 so I either more double evictions or no buy backs.
debating applying for it. This season would have been a really good time for me to apply, this fall is slightly worse of a time for me. If not I probably would have to wait ~2 years.
Has anyone else actually applied or auditioned? I'm fascinated by the casting process for some reason.
A friend and I went to the Chicago open casting call in March for fun. It took place in a douchey hotel downtown and there were a solid 1000 people there. You're given a number and it was all in order but they did groups of 10-15 at a time in front of a casting director who sat at a table. Everyone turned in their "application" to the director with basic questions about your life and then "why do you want to be on BB". During my groups "audition" I was asked if I would be in a showmance and if I would beak it to win. She read my paper and my reason listed for wanting to be on BB which was "I'm an Everyman America would root for" and I went on to say I come off very innocent so if I crossed anyone I would get away with it because no one would suspect me. Nicole, her showmance from her season, and the transgender woman from last year (who's name I'm completely blanking on) were there. They got mobbed as soon as they got off the hotel elevator. I honestly felt sort of bad for them because everyone was incredibly "let be buddies" with each of them. I can tell you that the weirdest and worst kinds of people go to BB casting calls (what does that say about me, right?) One guy was bragging that it was his fourth time trying out for the show and he looked like Michael Moore if Michael Moore was a magician. The other spectrum was the most beautiful people you've ever seen and reeked of desperate attention seeking. Side note: anyone know how to post pics on Chorus? I took some photos that day.
Wow. That sounds way different than I thought it would be. The group auditions kinda bother me but I guess that helps weed out the shy people. I had a group job interview before and the was miserable. I can only imagine what a group tv audition would be like. The kind of people there is really what I'd be interested in. I feel like it would be filled with Jozea type people who think the world should immediately love them haha. I've only heard the stories from people who actually made the show and obviously they made it so it sounded kinda easy haha. Honestly the idea of over 1000 people being there through me off. I kinda assumed it'd be like 50-100. I was listening to a podcast with McCrea from season 15 and he said Nicole is one of the only houseguests who only does that kind of public appearance stuff if she's paid. He said there was a charity group who got a few former houseguests together and gave them money to buy "toys for tots" but since they only paid travel expenses Nicole refused to go. So I guess just remember to be extra likeable on the show so people pay you to hang out at open auditions after you're out of the house. I doubt I'd ever make it onto the show and I don't know how good of a player I'd be but I think if I could play it cool enough to last a couple weeks. After seeing Jason last year and Britney from season 12 and 14 I started thinking I'd probably be pretty good at funny shit talking in the diary room. Except when I actually consider it, I feel like I'd unfortunately be a Michelle type player because I'm really just a weirdo who likes watching the game and judging people for petty personal entertainment haha
wow. I didn't realize how recent the castings were. Also, That's not at all what I expected the crowd to look like. I guess I expected more bleached blonde hair
Very happy to hear Julie is going to host Season 19 and that it won't be given a bogus name because it's all access only.
