Tiny Indoor Fireworks is the song that is gonna make me break down if or when live music comes back to America. I have heard it so many times when I’ve been depressed in lockdown and it brings me back. I can’t imagine how cathartic it’s gonna be to hear it live.
ran through only revolutions for the first time in a minute. holds up super well with the exception of a handful of tracks
I really like Pocket. Going to have to go back and listen to the whole thing some time. Barely given it a listen, from memory.
Same. Found them sometime after Only Revelations came out and really spent a lot of time with that record. I don't think i listened to any older stuff until after Opposites. I adore Opposites. Every track is great to super great to me. Even their B-side album for Opposites(Similarities) is very good. They were on some other shit writing that record.
I re-listened to Opposites towards the tail-end of 2019 and was struck by how well it held up, especially given I hate double albums.
Opposites is where they peaked even if their most famous songs are on the previous one. mixed feelings on the two most recent LPs, they seemed all over the place. Puzzle deserves more praise
Cant remember doing a ranking here, but for me Biffy at their maddest is the best. Off the top of my head it would probably go Vertigo of Bliss Infinity Land (These two albums were pretty much all I listened to when I was 15) Opposites Puzzle Blackened Sky A Celebration of Endings Only Revolutions Ellipses They're probably UK's best live band. They always sound absolutely massive and fucking rip.
I was running today with a random playlist on and Tiny Indoor Fireworks came on a few blocks from my house. At first I was pumped. I LOVE this song! When they sang “this weight is crippling me,” I just stopped running and started crying. Big tears. And then the chorus kicked in and I finished hard. Still love the new record.
Suuuuper long shot, but does anybody have a pre-sale code for tomorrow? My favourite band growing up playing in my hometown is something I'm terrified I'm going to miss.
Ive been blasting In The Name Of Wee Man on the way to work. What a banger. So happy the Glasgow show is getting the go-ahead next month.
