They are playing a 600 cap room in Montreal coming off a sold out arena tour in the UK with Brand New as openers...
Thanks! I regret missing O'Bro when they came to Ottawa and wanted to catch them live ever since. Just might go to this!
@redwing91007 I remember you from the Brand New thread. I saw them on back to back nights in Mtl last year. I went to the second show solo. I should of met a fellow Chorusian at the show haha
Yup, I remember you too. I was also at both nights and the 2nd night solo. Guess we can make up for it this time.
As I was reading the list of venues, I saw Saint Andrews Hall and I starting thinking to myself what @redwing91007 said at the end of his post about the Brand New tour. It's crazy how these two bands are almost exactly flip-flopped in their respect home countries.
That's another one! Every time I see the venues they play in Canada and it's areans and then they play in the US and they are in 400 cap rooms! That one might be crazier to me because the US and Canada are so close to each other. Lol.
Yeah Billy Talent is a big one but I wouldn't say as drastic as this even. When Billy Talent plays an arena here they sell maybe 6k-10k tickets and Biffy can play Wembley (60k).
Billy Talent are arguably as big in Germany as they are in Canada surprisingly enough. I mean they headline festivals over there which seems surprising considering they play in such small venues in the US...
I think I'm definitely interested in seeing Biffy live after hearing lots of stuff about them when Brand New opened for them in the UK so yeah I'm probably going to pull the trigger and get a tix to see this show. How is Café Campus in Montreal what's the cap size?
Really want to go to the Toronto show! Last time Biffy was here, I didn't end up going, and really regret that..
It's one of the few venues in the city I've never been to actually. Its cap is 600 and actually look pretty damn nice, like a mini Metropolis (assuming you've been there).
Yes I went to Metropolis for the first time last year to see The Head and the Heart. I agree this looks like a cool venue. Not surprising Montreal has some really nice ones!
Metropolis is probably my favourite (was there on Sunday) but I'm all for trying out new rooms, doesn't happen often anymore.
looks like they may have underestimated venue size in MN. Turf Club is maybe 500 cap, and it's already sold out.
